The minimum age is 8. In the past, we trialled various ages, such as six, but after assessing the quality and amount of content they could learn, we decided to enrol only students who were at least eight years old at the time of booking. We know some students start coding younger, but those are the exceptions. One of the aspects we discovered in practice was that younger students could not maintain their concentration for extended periods, so their attention span was too short for STEM class. The other issue was that they needed help comprehending some abstract notions, no matter how much we broke down the content. Therefore, after studying the results, we decided to offer our courses only to students at least eight years old.

Not yet. Students can join the Advanced class based on experience, not age. Admission to the Advanced Course is only possible through two distinct pathways:

1. Upon graduation from the Intermediate Course or
2. Upon passing a test designed to demonstrate a solid understanding of Python programming language. The test can be organised by request Monday to Friday after 6 pm.

Beginner Course Level 1: $25 per student, per session, paid in advance for the entire term (pro rata). All equipment is included in the fee. You do not need to hire or bring a laptop.

Intermediate Course: $25 per student, per session, paid in advance for the entire term (pro rata). If you don’t have a computer running Windows (7, 8, 10, 11) or macOS, you may hire a laptop from us for $5 per session.

Advanced Course: $25 per student, per session, paid in advance for the entire term (pro rata). If you don’t have a computer running Windows (7, 8, 10, 11) or macOS, you may hire a laptop from us for $5 per session.

The NDIS can fund activities related to their NDIS goals, such as increased Social and Community Participation. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to use NDIS funding to pay for our courses if your child care plan goals are improving executive function, developing fine motor skills, and developing social skills through group work. After paying the invoice, you can ask NDIS to reimburse your costs. As it is a group activity, you may use the Capacity budget, but NDIS has also allowed the Core budget to be used when the capacity budget has been exhausted. Please note that our courses are NDIS approved, and you can generally claim on a case-by-case basis. However, we are not an NDIS Registered provider as an organisation, so approval is not automatic.
