We are the RoboCup Junior Soccer 2020 State Champions!
2020 was an unfortunate year for everyone. Even in Robotics, we had to run our classes online for two months and use virtual robots. In terms of competitions, most were cancelled, a few were held online, and two were organised face-to-face: in South Australia and Western Australia. However, this year was the biggest for RoboCup Junior SA as we had a record number of teams: 84! Adelaide Robotics Academy entered the State Competition with seven teams: three in Rescue (line) and four in Soccer. While the Rescue teams faced unexpected difficulties, the Soccer teams were quite successful, cleaning the podium and bringing home all three trophies: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. This is to confirm our value, considering that in 2019, we won trophies in Sumo! Congratulations to all students who entered the competition. Perhaps next year they will bring home some Rescue trophies as well!
